This house is located east of Mahone Bay on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. It was the ocean that first attracted the owners to Nova Scotia from Frankfurt, Germany. Incrementally they have made Indian Point their summer home as a counterpoint to their busy lives working between Germany and New York. The design celebrates the simple necessities of sunlight, fresh air, and nature. Designed to be in the landscape, the house choreographs the site, negotiating the gentle grade between land and sea.
